ABOUT URBAN BLOOM COLOR LAB
Urban Bloom Color Lab is a creative research initiative dedicated to exploring how trees, plants, and urban environments shape the color identity of cities. We study the natural and built world through the lens of color—from seasonal tree palettes to neighborhood hues—to help people see their surroundings with deeper awareness, appreciation, and connection.
Our work begins with the colors of urban trees, expands to all plant life, and ultimately maps the full spectrum of urban color across architecture, landscapes, and cultural spaces. Through visual analysis, color mapping, and design‑based research, we aim to reveal the beauty, diversity, and emotional impact of the environments we live in.

What We Do

Our Approach
Urban Bloom Color Lab follows a three‑phase research model:
- Trees — canopy color, species identity, seasonal change
- All Plants — flowers, shrubs, grasses, native plantings
- Full Urban Color — buildings, murals, materials, cultural color
This layered approach allows us to understand cities not just as structures, but as living color ecosystems.
